| Just wanted to share with you all my top 3 strangest calls I've received at work.
Call #3
I received this call several months ago from a middle aged man:
Me: Thank you for calling Sovereign Cruises, how may I help you? Guy: Yes, my wife and I are disability, and we can hardly pay our bills, are there any scholarships for the Hawaii cruise? Me: Are you asking for a free cruise? Guy: Yes, we hardly get to go on vacations and we really like Dr. Kennedy. Me: I'm sorry, I don't believe any scholarships are available. Guy: Well, can you please check, we really want to go on this cruise, but we don't have the money for it. Me: (thinking well, there's a lot of things I'd like to do that I don't have money for) Ok, I will have have someone get back to you.
So I get Uncle Mike to call him back..the man was really disappointed and hung up on him...I feel bad that he's on disability and that he can't pay his bills, but does he really expect to be given a free cruise to Hawaii? It's like going into a Ruth Chris's steak house and asking for a free steak because I can't afford it.
Call # 2
This one I received today: The guy sounded like he was in his 40's with a thick Mexican accent.
Me: Thank you for calling Sovereign Cruises, how may I help you? Guy: Yes, I'm interested in your Hawaii Cruise, is there any availability left? Me: Yes, there is. (I proceed to give him the pricing) Guy: So are you going to be on this cruise: Me: Lord Willing, yes, I do plan on going Guy: Are you a Christian? Me: Yes Guy: Where are you located? Me: Florida Guy: Ohh, that's too far. Guy: Are you married? Me:. No, I am not Guy: Do you have a boyfriend? Me: No, I do not Guy: Do you want one? Me: I trust in God's timing and am content in where He has me at the moment Guy: I'm looking for a girlfriend or a wife. Me: Um, aren't there ladies at your church? Guy: Is this conversation be recorded? Me: Um, it could be (Ok, that's a lie, we don't ever record our calls) Guy: Can I get to know you better? Me: I don't think that's appropriate, sir. Guy: So you will be on the cruise right? Me: Um....(hesitating) yes, Lord willing. Guy: Well, OK, thank you.
Call # 1
This one was a couple months ago from a guy who sounded like he was in his 50's maybe, and he sounded serious..which made this call really scary:
Me: Thank you for calling Sovereign Cruises, how may I help you? Guy: Yes, I'd like to go on one of your cruises. Me: Sure, which one are you calling about? Guy: One where I can commit suicide Me: Uhh, excuse me sir? Guy: I want to jump off the boat Me: Umm..I don't think that's allowed Guy: Well, I can always hang myself Me: I'm sorry sir, I don't understand why are you calling, do you need help? Guy: I have gun with me now, do you want to listen as I put the gun in my mouth and pull the trigger?
At that point, I was really scared, so I hung up, looked up the area code he was in and called the police of there (it took me 20 minutes to get someone to talk to). Since we have caller ID, I gave them the number that called so they could check it out. Even though it was most likely a prank, I'd feel horrible if it wasn't and if he really did need help.
So there you have it. My top 3 strangest calls at work. Anyone else have crazy ones to share?

| I can't believe we're going into April already!!
To catch up..HERE are some pics from my New York trip in Dec, HERE are pics from our Phoenix trip, and HERE are pics from our Cruise in Jan.
The year started off great in Phoenix as we celebrated Christmas, New Years, and my grandma's 80th Birthday. Such sweet times with the family. Here's a video that we made celebrating her 80 years of life:
Highlights of the year up to this point? I would have to say that I'm so happy and thankful that God has provided us with a Pastor! It's amazing to see God's providence and His answer to many prayers as He brought Pastor Jack and his wife, Gayle, to our church. I'm so excited to see what God has in store for us through the leadership of our new pastor. We helped them move into my condo today, which is another story of God's wonderful providence. I had been trying to rent my condo out for what seemed like forever, and I was getting really anxious. Little did I know that God had His own plan..and I'm so honored to be part of it *yay*. Definatly a great lesson on patience for me and to trust God in His timing. He is so faithful in meeting our needs...if only I could be as faithful in putting my trust in Him.
Another highlight would also have to be the Ligonier Conference with Contending for the Faith for this years theme. There's nothing more encouraging than to be surrounded by 6,000 other believers and being taught, challenged, and fed by my favorite teachers (MacArthur, Sproul, Piper). What I love seeing is the diversity of people at this conference. From children to grandparents from all backgrounds and nationalities. It's like a glimpse of what heaven will be like. You can visit Tim Challie's site who blogged the entire conference.
Well, hopefully there will be more frequent updates for those who may be wondering what's going on in my world. Blessings to all!

| Update: CLICK HERE for more baby pics **********************************************************
Congratulations to Andy and Sarah for their beautiful baby boy, Samuel! I am filled with joy that God has blessed them with this precious addition to their family.
He was born Sunday night, Dec. 3rd, 10:48 PM 6.7 lbs, 20.25 inches Here he is, not even 2 days old...
Soooo adorable!!! He's all bundled up and ready to go out into the world.
Proud parents of a healthy, good lookin', and quiet baby. He hardly ever cries!
They let me hold him! yay!! He's soooo tiny. Sarah is going to use him as a dumbbell to do exercises =oP Side note: Sarah looks incredibly good for just having gone through labor! I am filled with complete awe and adoration for our Lord, our Creator, who brings life into the world. What a wonderful God we have. | | |
| UPDATE: Here are the pics of the cruise.
Greetings from the Eastern Caribbean!! ...if anyone is even out there. I have not updated since the beginning of the year..oh my.. So here I am on the Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas..and it's the largest ship I've been on. There's so much to do on this ship...from rock climbing, ice skating, put put golf, dance classes, movies, food...there's harldy any time to relax! God has been so gracious...it's by His wonderful providence that I'm actually on this ship. It just so happen I was entering a ton of bookings during these 2 weeks they were holding a contest. Since I made the most bookings, I won a 7 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise! I decided to take my mommy, since she totally deserves it. So here we are in St. Thomas. Behind us is Megan's Bay..one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world.
We got a caricature done last night..after finding out it was free! what do you think? Does it look like us? I don't think I even look asian..haha..
Here is the sun setting today as we were leaving St. Maarten.
Lots more other pictures coming later...heading to a comedy show now!
